Healing through massage is Lori’s lifework. In addition to having more than 30 years of experience as a massage therapist, she co-founded her first massage therapy studio in 1993 and opened Soma Massage Therapy and Acupuncture Studios in 1999. Lori’s original focus was helping pregnant women, their partners and babies adjust to the changes that happen during the childbearing year. She has now expanded the practice to include clients who suffer from stress-induced pain and overuse conditions, or who are interested in preserving health through massage and yoga. Lori helps her clients to find ease in their bodies through deep tissue massage, therapeutic exercise, and yoga therapy. In addition to founding two successful massage therapy studios, she has continued her education into alternative techniques that will help her serve her clients. Besides practicing yoga, she loves cooking slow-food style, spending time outdoors, travelling and sailing on the Salish Sea

As a registered massage therapist, Annie strives to keep people moving. To this end, an appointment with Annie typically will include some therapeutic stretching and strengthening mixed in with relaxation techniques. Annie completed her massage therapy training at Langara College in Vancouver and has done additional training in functional anatomy, Dermoneuromodulation, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). Annie has experience helping people find relief from body tension and pain developed from a wide range of conditions such as stress, repetitive activities, sports, muscular imbalances, fibromyalgia and myalgic encephalomyelitis (chronic fatigue syndrome), TMJ pain, and nerve compression.
Prior to massage therapy, Annie traversed through different sectors: supporting families with infants with developmental challenges, helping university students find co-op jobs, and writing technical material. Becoming a massage therapist has allowed Annie to fulfill her calling of helping people rest, move, and thrive.
Annie enjoys traveling and has visited all 7 continents. Paddle boarding through calm waters and walking through misty forests or sandy beaches are where Annie finds sacred space. On rainy days, Annie enjoys watching reality competition shows and dreams of being on the Amazing Race one day.
